The Holy Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God.  It is the basis of our knowledge of God, God's purpose and the destiny of God's creation. It holds the standards to living in faith and practice.

The Holy Bible is the most unique book ever written.  Therefore, we can look at its content with confidence to see what it says about itself.

Romans 15:4 states that "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."

Let's talk a little about the uniqueness of the Holy Bible starting with ...

1. Continuity - the Holy Bible was written by 40 generations ... which took over 1,500 years.
2. It has over 40 authors from every walk of life
3. Different situations including prisons, palaces, temples ...etc.
4. Different times ... during peace time and war
5. Different moods ... happy, joyful, sorrow, etc.
6. On three different continents ... Asia, Europe, Africa
7. In three languages ... Aramaic (which is the language that Jesus spoke ... Hebrew and Greek
8. About controversial subjects ... yet maintaining consistent principles and solutions.

Circulation of the Holy Bible ...

1. The Holy Bible has been read by more people and published in more languages than any other book in the world.

Translation ...

1. The Holy Bible has been translated, retranslated and paraphrased more than any other book in the world.

Survival ...

1. Look at the time ... it was written on perishable material, painstakingly copied and recopied for hundreds of years before the invention of the printing press. 
2. During all this time the Holy Bible did not diminish it's style, correctness or existence. 
3. It survived persecution and criticism. 
4. It has withstood the vicious attacks by its enemies as no other book has. 
5. Many people have tired to burn the Holy Bible, ban it, and even outlaw it.

Prophecy ...

1. The Holy Bible contains a large body of prophecies relating to the peoples of the earth, individual nations, certain cities, and to the coming of the Messiah, the vast majority of which has been fulfilled.

History ...

1. The Holy Bible's historical narrative is unparalleled in terms of accuracy.

Personalities ...

1. The Holy Bible deals very frankly with the sins of its characters, including its authors.

The Holy Bible consistently claims that it is the Word of God.

"All Scripture is God -breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every  good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Holy Bible in its original language is completely free from error. Jesus himself declared that Scripture cannot be broken (John 10:35), and defended the Bible in the strongest terms possible.  Either a person accepts the authority of Scripture, or he must attack the integrity of the Son of God.

"I tell you that truth,  until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."  Matthew 5:18
